For those about to rock......

We've signed Z up for a 10 week music together class, which meets on Saturday mornings at 9:30. This weekend was our first scheduled class, 8 little boys, including Z. He's the youngest at 14 months, with ages ranging into the 3's. The teacher, Monica is very sweet and really seems to have a gift for bringing music to children.




It's amazing to see the difference just a few months of development makes! The older boys are very into helping - helping putting instruments away, helping Monica carry the containers of instruments, helping get things out of the closet. Z's not into that yet, in fact he was more like "Hey, where are you going with my shaker egg? Come back here!" I'm sure that is stuff that will come in time.

He was so excited to play and be silly and sing with us that he could hardly sit still. He ran (for him) directly across the room and bounced his head off the corner of a bookshelf, raising his first goose egg. I feel like a success as a parent that I got him to 14 months before he slammed his head into something hard enough to leave a bruise.
